Sharks play a vital role in our marine ecosystems. They keep the ocean balanced by managing prey populations and removing sick or diseased animals, helping to keep our oceans healthy. Plus, they're a big draw for dive tourists and a crucial resource for local economies.
Unfortunately, sharks are facing a global decline. Overfishing has drastically reduced shark populations worldwide, putting some species at immediate risk. In many cases, shark numbers have dropped by over 80%, threatening their very existence.
In this course, you’ll learn more about shark conservation and how to interact safely with these incredible creatures in their natural habitat.

We'd love to welcome divers who meet the following criteria:
- Age: Must be at least 12 years old.
- Certification: PADI Open Water Diver or equivalent certification.
- Health: Must respond with NO to all questions on the standard Medical History Form or obtain a physician’s approval before the class begins.
