PADI Delayed Surface Marker Buoy Specialty Course

The purpose of the PADI Delayed Surface Marker Buoy (DSMB) Specialty course is to familiarize divers with the skills, knowledge, planning, equipment, organization, procedures, techniques, problems, hazards and excitement of diving with a DSMB.

The DSMB Diver Specialty course is intended and designed to be a supervised introduction to diving with a DSMB.

What Is Involved?

This course consists of:

  • Self study.
  • Two open water training dives.

Where And When Do Classes Take Place?

Self study takes place at the comfort of your home. Open water dives take place at one of more than 50 dive sites that we have to offer.

PADI DSMB classes start at any time. Classroom session is done during regular store hours. Open water training dives are done any day of the week. All activities take place by appointment only.

What Is Included In The Cost?

The course fee is $249 per person and includes:

  • All instruction.
  • Use of regulator, bcd, tanks and weights.
  • Two open water training dives.
  • Certification card processing.

    What Equipment Will You Need?

    Students are responsible for supplying all of the equipment items listed below:

    • Scuba mask, scuba snorkel and scuba fins.+
    • Adequate exposure protection.* +
    • Signal marker buoy.+
    • Cutting device.+
    • Reel (any kind).+
    • Bathing suit and towel.
